What do I need to run AirServer?
- AirServer.
- Mac running OS X Tiger / Leopard / Snow Leopard / Lion / Mountain Lion (Intel/PPC) or a PC running Windows 7, 8 or Vista.
Note: Windows XP is not supported. Mirroring on Mac requires Snow Leopard or newer. - iPad, iPhone (3GS or later) or iPod touch (second generation or later) running the latest iOS software. Alternatively, you can use an Android device running doubleTwist+AirTwist.
Note: Mirroring is only available from iPad 2, iPad Retina (iPad 3), iPad 4, iPad mini, iPod Touch 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and Mountain Lion. - Internet connection for activation.
- Wi-Fi or ad-hoc network for operation.
Payment options
Can I pay using a credit card?
Yes. Click the “Buy Now” button and then click the “Pay with my credit or debit card” link. This option will allow you to purchase AirServer using a credit card, without having to register for a PayPal account. Unfortunately, PayPal does enforce certain country restrictions, where this option is not available. At the moment, PayPal's payment engine is our only method for accepting credit card payments.
Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Yes, we do accept purchase orders with payments by check, PayPal, or credit card. For more information, including detailed instructions on how to submit purchase orders and where to send payment, please visit our Support section.
Do you accept bank transfers or payments by cheque?
Yes. Send an email to support@airserverapp.com. We will send you instructions on how to proceed.
Quickstart guide
Installing AirServer on your Mac/PC
- Download AirServer and run the installation.
- In the AirServer Activation window, enter your email address or your activation code. If you purchased AirServer, the email address will be your PayPal primary email address.
- Click Activate. AirServer is now ready to use.
Connecting an iOS device to your Mac/PC
- Open your iOS device and double-tap the home button. A sliding menu will appear at the bottom of your screen.
- Scroll left until you see the circular AirPlay button.
- Tap the icon and a list of AirPlay enabled devices will appear. The computer on which you installed AirServer will show up on this list.
- To connect, simply tap the name of your machine.
Using AirPlay enabled apps
Some applications, such as YouTube, are AirPlay enabled. When these apps are running you will see the AirPlay button. Simply tap the button to connect.
Mirroring to your Mac/PC
Some applications, such as games and the Safari browser, are not AirPlay enabled. To display these on your computer, simply follow the above steps for CONNECTING AN iOS DEVICE TO YOUR MAC/PC. On step 4, when you see the MIRRORING option, switch it ON.
Note: Mirroring is only available for iPad 2, iPad Retina (iPad 3), iPad 4, iPad mini, iPod Touch 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and Mountain Lion.
Connecting multiple iOS devices to your Mac
AirServer for Mac allows you to connect multiple iOS devices simultaneously. To connect an additional device, simply follow the above steps for CONNECTING AN iOS DEVICE TO YOUR MAC/PC. AirServer automatically works out the best screen fit for the new device.
