Google Cast receiver implementation in AirServer supports casting (screen projection) from Chromebooks/ChromeOS devices, compatible Android devices, and desktop platforms that are supported by Google Chrome browser.

Android device

Please refer to Google's documentation on how to cast your Android screen from the Google Cast app. If your Android device does not have the cast functionality built-in, you can enable it by downloading the Google Home app from Google Play Store or by downloading our AirServer Connect application.

Chromebook/ChromeOS device

AirServer supports all Chromebooks that support Google Cast. Please refer to Google's documentation on how to use Chromecast with your Chromebook.

Desktop platforms supported by Google Chrome

Windows 7, Linux, and other desktop platforms that are supported by Google Chrome for casting are also supported by AirServer. This technology can also be used to cast the entire desktop, including audio to AirServer. Please check out our support article dedicated to explaining how to use this.

Chromium-based Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

It's possible to mirror from Windows 10 using the Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge. This can be particularly useful if your device does not support Miracast (eg. desktop computers without supported Wi-Fi adapters). Microsoft Edge uses Google Cast for screen mirroring.
